A working philosophy

Founded in 1979, TOXIKÓN is a private company devoted to OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH. Acting together in rendering services for the biological and workplace air monitoring of occupational exposure to chemicals, TOXIKÓN has two divisions: Assessoria Toxicológica e Higiene Industrial.

Each division acts in a specific field. The Assessoria Toxicológica division performs occupational toxicology analysis on biological samples aiming the evaluation of workers exposure to chemicals by interpreting results using the actual state of science knowledge. The Higiene Industrial division, routinely analyzes over 120 different types of chemicals on workplace air samples. Besides the modern equipment used in the chemical quantification, TOXIKÓN has the appropriate instruments and develops specific media for the sampling processes. So the companies that count on both services, obtain truly integrated advises and counsels as recommended by either the NR-7 or the NR-9 (brazilian norms).

Trained employees and competent professionals merge in a unique working doctrine the teaching and orientations they receive from the board of directors, formed by experts in TOXICOLOGY and INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE from the University of São Paulo and with several training and specialization courses abroad. Thus, the guiding principles QUALITY, RELIABILITY and QUICKNESS are always present in all activities.

Using own top level laboratories, TOXIKÓN work with techniques recommended by Brazilian legislation (NR-7, NR-9 and NR-15) using standardized and validated methods disclosed by internationally recognized institutions like NIOSH, OSHA , ACGIH and DFG.
